MURDER OF CROWS CYCLING CLUB:

THE MURDER OF CROW’S IS MUCH MORE THAN A CYCLING CLUB….WE EAT DIRT, DRINK WHISKY, AND PEDAL OUR BIKES TOGETHER. WE ARE LIKE STEP-FAMILY TO ONE ANOTHER. WITH SUPPORT FROM GREAT BUSINESSES LIKE GOODLIFE BREWING , BEND VELO, AND CROW’S FEET. OUR GOAL IS TO TRULY UNITE SMILES AND WHEELS.CHECK US OUT: OUR KITS ARE AWESOME, OUR TEAMMATES HILARIOUS, AND WE DEFINITELY KNOW HOW TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. WE ARE SMASHIN’ PASSION ON BICYCLES.

 

CENTRAL OREGON AVALANCHE CENTER: 

COAC was established in 2009 as the Central Oregon Avalanche Association as a result of an identified need for accurate snow and avalanche information and increased avalanche awareness/education in the Central Oregon vicinity. During the 2017/18 season COAC became officially recognized as a Type 2 avalanche center and in 2018/19 officially changed its name to the Central Oregon Avalanche Center (COAC)

COAC is an Oregon 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operated by a volunteer Board of Directors that provides financial and general operational oversight to the following subcontracted personnel: two forecasters, two pro observers, and one developmental director. Learn more about the COAC Board. We are presently involved in:

• Community avalanche education events.
• Distribution of relevant mountain snow and weather data through professional observer program and bi-weekly advisory dissemination.
• Coordination with national and regional avalanche and weather entities to identify operational shortfalls and associated enhancements to bolster and improve forecasting.
• Provide funding to assist in purchase of relevant equipment and materials identified as best benefit to general public.
• Organizing local for-profit entities to best serve the local community.

COAC has made huge improvements to meet the demands of our growing backcountry community. Backcountry use continues to grow in the mountains of Central Oregon and our non-profit avalanche forecasting center is working to match strides with the public’s increased need for accurate and useful weather, snowpack, and avalanche information. Through bi-weekly advisories, public outreach, and educational events, we are committed to making the backcountry a safer place.

 

CENTRAL OREGON TRAIL ALLIANCE:

COTA is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that works in conjunction with the USFS, BLM and other land managers to build and maintain trails throughout Central Oregon, and whose mission is to develop, protect, and enhance the Central Oregon mountain bike experience through trail stewardship, advocacy, collaboration, and education.
They envision a robust and diverse mountain biking experience that will endure for generations.
 

PROTECT OUR WINTERS (POW):

In 2007, pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones saw that more and more resorts he’d always counted on for good riding were closed due to lack of snow. Something was clearly going on, and he felt the need to act. But he couldn’t find any organizations focused on mobilizing the snowsports community on climate—there was a gap between the impacts that climate change was already having on our great escapes, and organized action to address it.

So Jeremy founded Protect Our Winters.

SheJumps increases the participation of women and girls in outdoor activities. Partnering with nature, SheJumps creates safe, educational outdoor experiences for girls and women that nurture growth and transformation.
