January Newsletter - Welcoming 2022
As we dive into the New Year, we want to reflect on, that despite the challenging circumstances that we all found ourselves dealing with in 2021, we are grateful for the new friends and old faces that we see on a regular basis at the shop. In the ever-changing landscape of Central Oregon, we recognize that the only constant is change, and that we must embrace each individual with respect, dignity and care.
I am happy to say that our business is growing everyday, because of our great customers who are spreading the good word of Crow's Feet. Our staff has stepped up to ensure a quality experience to everyone that walks in the door. It’s great to see everyone out. Whether tramping about in the snowy backcountry, spinning on the dusty gravel roads or the smooth serpentine of singletrack, it’s awesome to see our friends getting after it, in all forms of backcountry
travel.
As we roll into 2022, we are excited to continue this support for locals and visitors alike, and continue to provide you with knowledge, service and products to take you further into your outdoor journeys. Keep up the good work Central Oregon, we acknowledge you for your collective grit and compassion in these challenging times.

Ski and Snowbard Service
The Winter's storm cycles are hitting like never before and the mountains are loaded for the winter months ahead. Conditions at Bachelor are all time and the backcountry is setting up for a long season of great touring. Remember that equipment that isn't dialed can thwart any adventure leaving you in danger and exposed to the elements. Crow's Feet staff knows those realities and wants to make sure your gear is in tip-top shape for your adventure. Our Stone Grinding is running daily and our techs are ready to help you dial in your gear for your next trip into the mountains. Phantom, Tunes, Binding installs and skin trimming are regularly in and out in the same day with a typical lead time of 48 hours.
PHANTOM: Permanent Waxless base treatment is absolutely perfect for our ski conditions in Central Oregon. No need to wax every again and keep your skins running longer in the backcountry because there is no residue transferring onto the glue of your skis. This is a remarkable product and we are lucky to be the supplier of such a revolutionary product.
Ski Boots!
The saying goes: "You date skis but you marry your boots." Having the right ski boot for your foot, style and goals is the most important piece of equipment that a skier can buy. It provides the control, comfort and ability to stay out longer that is important for long days at the mountain. We have a large selection of boots from Atomic, Roxa and Dynafit to keep you comfortable and happy in the mountains. Your boots are the most important point of contact and source of control you have on the snow. We love geeking out with you on finding the boot that not only fits you well but is the right tool for your needs. Our staff has 40+ yrs of experience boot fitting from tele to alpine and will help you feel confident that you’re making the correct decision. Heat molding and footbeds go a long way to help bring the boots fit to full potential, that’s why we offer it free of charge with any purchase of ski boots in the shop.
What Ski is right for you?
With so many options to choose from let us help narrow your search and find what’s right for your style and purpose. Our lineup of BlackCrows, DPS skis, Atomic, Dynafit and the all new Stereo Skis. All of which have a myriad of applications. From bombing down the resort to billy-goating up the mountains, we have a great selection to progress your style to the next level. We have the largest selection of backcountry skis in Central Oregon.
Splitboarding!
Yesterday we finally got our year supply of Jones Splitboards. These boards are in high demand because they have the best construction on the market. Using eco-friendly materials in a state-of-the-art factory in Dubai, Jones is the pinnacle of performance for the backcountry rider. We are stocked with Solutions, Frontiers, Hovercrafts and new fun shapes that will make shredding the powder an entirely new experience.
Also we have a great selection of Weston boards created in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Match these boards with some Karakoram bindings and some skins from Pomoca, Jones, G3, or Karakoram and you have a setup that is dialed and ready for adventure.
We can walk you through how everything works and help you be prepared for a day in the backcountry.
Fatbikes!
With the trail network right out our backdoor, we now have a full-size run of the Kona Woo which is currently available to demo (awayco.com)
We also have had a few stunning custom fatbike builds rolling out the door.
Our Demo fleet
We have a huge fleet of Black Crows, Atomic and DPS skis set up with tech bindings. We are stoked to continue to partner with AWAYCO, an online reservation platform making it easy to reserve your choice of gear from the comfort of home. *The plan is to allow this gear to be demoed once the mountain is at a 40” base so stay tuned.
